CALL FOR PAPERS
Robotics and Automation Journal — Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Industrial Automation
Machines are no longer confined to the factory floor. They now move through warehouses, assist in operating rooms, navigate city streets, and coordinate entire production lines with little human direction. The Robotics and Automation Journal is a home for the research behind that shift. The journal brings together three closely connected fields. Robotics covers the design, control, and mechanics of machines that sense and act in the physical world. Autonomous systems covers the perception, planning, and decision-making that let those machines operate on their own. Industrial automation covers the engineering that turns these capabilities into reliable, scalable systems for manufacturing, logistics, and beyond. We publish original research, rigorous reviews, and applied case studies that connect theory to practice. We welcome work from academics, engineers, and industry practitioners, and we especially value papers that bridge the lab and the factory, showing not only what is possible but what works at scale. As a publication for advanced industrial intelligence, the journal aims to give researchers a trusted place to share their findings and give readers a clear view of where intelligent machines are headed.

Within the scope of the journal
Alongside its regular quarterly issues, each of the press's five journals will publish a special issue. The theme is the journal's own scope: any paper the journal already welcomes is welcome to the special issue. Special-issue papers go through the same screening and peer review as every other submission, and publication remains free of cost.
