CALL FOR PAPERS
NextGen Journal - Medicine, Engineering and Technology
Some of the most important advances in health care no longer begin in a hospital. They begin in an engineering lab, a computing cluster, or a materials facility, and they reach patients only when clinicians, engineers, and technologists work on the same problem. The NextGen Journal is built for that collaboration. The journal covers medicine, engineering, and technology as one connected field. That includes medical devices and robotic surgery, biomedical and tissue engineering, diagnostics and imaging, digital health, and the computational methods that increasingly support clinical decisions. We are most interested in work where the fields depend on each other, such as an engineering design shaped by clinical need or a medical advance made possible by a new technology. We welcome original research, review articles, translational studies, and case reports from clinicians, engineers, scientists, and industry teams. Because this work affects patients, we place particular weight on rigorous methods, clear reporting of results and limitations, and attention to safety and ethics. The journal aims to give the next generation of health technology a trusted venue, and to help readers see how discoveries move from the lab to the clinic.
Call for a special issue
Within the scope of the journal
Alongside its regular quarterly issues, each of the press's five journals will publish a special issue. The theme is the journal's own scope: any paper the journal already welcomes is welcome to the special issue. Special-issue papers go through the same screening and peer review as every other submission, and publication remains free of cost.
